As the federal government shutdown reaches it's one-month mark, local food assistance organizations are preparing for an increase in demand when pauses to SNAP

Chandler Cochrene is a mom of four children who relies on SNAP benefits to help feed her family, but facing the reality that next month's help won't arrive, Cochrene is already making tough choices.

“I really want it to open because it messes with your pay,” Hardin said. “However, it looks like there’s no end in sight until they get together and come to an agreement.”
