Windows 11 is testing a network speed test that you run from the taskbar.

The tool, rolling out now to Windows Insiders, is accessible from the taskbar, but it opens and runs in your default browser.

The tool is available in the network icon in the taskbar, but actually opens the existing Speedtest tool inside Bing. Users can try it out now by enrolling their PCs in the Windows Insider program.
